I was in charge of the Budweiser Clydesdales and she was the summer intern....

With a passion for draft horses and an affinity for Budweiser beer - Dj and Alex's story began.

Alex's entrance was truly one I never will forget. With her dad by her side, she sat close to him as he drove her late Grandfathers hitch up to the reception hall where she would marry her husband to be. After a beautiful ceremony rather than driving away with her dad, Alex drove away with her new husband on her Grandfather hitch. The horses were such a beautiful but also meaningful part of the day. I felt so fortunate to be a part of both Alex and Dj's day.

Not only did I love her,

but I could tell the universe loved her, too.

More than others.

She was different.

After all, I would be a fool

not to notice the way the sunshine played with her hair.

And what a day December 31 was. It was so evident of the love that existed between DJ + Alex their son Harley, as well as, their family and friends. I love wedding for obvious reason - because love is a beautiful thing and because the bride is stunning. But I REALLY love weddings because I get to experience and see how powerful the bond of a family can be.

I am so grateful to have been a part of the Johnston's big day.
